NYC based professional dancer
Hi there!
Erin Joy Grgas is a New York City based non-union dancer, trained extensively in theater jazz and Broadway tap. She has recently been seen dancing in I Put A Spell On You: The Witches Era at Sony Hall and in Broadway by the Year at The Town Hall with Danny Gardner.
She has been studying at Steps on Broadway since the age of thirteen with teachers such as Andrew Black, Al Blackstone, and Richard Pierlon.
Although she lives in Manhattan now, Erin grew up and trained on Long Island. She studied musical theater at American Theater Dance Workshop (ATDW) under the guidance of Michelle and Jerome Vivona, where she was a member of their Theater Dance Repertory Company. She was also a member of their Ballet Repertory Company studying under Katherine Healy. During her years there, she learned choreography repertory from many Broadway performers. Erin also attended the Long Island High School for the Arts where she was a Dance major.
At 19, Erin moved to Pittsburgh PA to dance for RWS Entertainment Group at Kennywood theme park, and then was seen tapping in Anything Goes!
When Erin isn’t performing, she has a passion for teaching, and is faculty at ATDW and a Steps Academy Assistant!
During lockdown, Erin decided to go back to college and completed her Kinesiology and Human Performance degree through The State University of New York.
